Inline carton inspection can be carried out on the press, cut and crease machine, folder gluer or finishing machine /convertor. Our inline inspection system monitors any changes to print quality during the production process. On a printing press our system detects and shows the operator instantly of colour changes, registration errors, filled in characters or hickies. This allows the operator to correct the problem before too much material has been printed, thereby reducing scrap material. Colour consistency can be monitored at several different regions on the web and an alarm set if the colour varies beyond a certain DeltaE value.

Press make ready and mix up prevention Since EyeC inspection systems always compare to the original artwork proof, if a wrong plate is unintentionally put on the press it is spotted immediately preventing a big problem with your customer!

By carrying out the print inspection on the sheet at cut and crease the offending sheet can be marked or removed. On the folder gluer our inline inspection system detects a print defect and ejects the faulty carton at the reject station .

 As an alternative to integrating into press, folder gluer etc we can supply a complete stand alone inspection system with feeder and output stacker.
